Traveling in Tokyo
[ Writer: Natari]
Hi, everyone.
Have you traveled in Japan? What do you think about this country? Japanese food, dramas and amines are so popular over the world though, some of my foreign friends believed that Ninja and Samurai still exist in Japan. Haha that's funny.
I would love to meet real Ninja and Samurai in this era😂😂
I think it's a bit hard that you travel in Japan without any knowledge about Japanese culture and language.
Unfortunately, lots of people can't speak English well, and you can't really find English menu in restaurants.
Today's topic is traveling Tokyo. You don't understand any Japanese? Do you worry about whether you will get in trouble during your traveling?
Don't worry you will have a lot of strong allies!!

Do you guys know where is the host country for the next Olympic Games?
It's Japan! in Tokyo
Because of that fact, the number of tourists in Japan has obviously increased !!
Tokyo is gearing up for the Olympics!
For example, Tokyo and the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games are planning to look for over 90,000 volunteers for the games in summer, 2018!
In the volunteers, there is 2 roles.
One for spectators and media support, support for manage games. They will work at athlete village or competition venue.
Other one is for support tourists at home and abroad and they will work at tourist place, major stations and airport.

Omotenashi TOKYO
There is another sightseeing support volunteers are called "Omotenashi Tokyo". Omotenashi means "Hospitality" in Japanese.

Wherever I go to oversees, I always miss Japanese hospitality. When I went to study abroad in Australia for the first time, sometimes any kind of shop staffs just looked me without say anything or focused on talking with other staff at cashier and didn't talk to me, even didn't say "Thank you".
I understand the cultural differences, so I am not complaining that. Just it was shocked at the first time.haha
Thanks to that,I started feeling pride of Japanese hospitality💁
In Japan, when I enter a restaurant or shop, staffs always say "Irassyaimase!"(means Welcome to our shop) with big smiles and I love that.
I can say Japanese Customer service is the best in the world.
When you get in trouble in Tokyo, you can ask for help to the volunteers "Omotenashi Tokyo".
Tokyo begun this service since 2015. You will be given the best hospitality service for free👍
